Commitments
Volunteering is an essential part of a thriving community, with numerous benefits to both parties. Our commitment to you as a volunteer is that we make the most of your time here, and in return, we require your commitment to fulfill your volunteer role. Volunteers must have the capacity to provide a minimum three-month pledge with us, while hours will vary based on area of interest. Volunteers must also be at least 16 years of age, complete the minimum training, and meet orientation requirements, including, but not limited to:
- Background check
- Flu shot (mandatory between October and March)
- TB testing screen
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster as recommended by the Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines
While we wish we could accept all applicants, if an opportunity does not exist at the time of your application, we will hold on to your information and reserve the right to reach out at a later date at the contact information provided when an opportunity becomes available.
