Wicker Park
Part of a series of fairs all over the world, this is touted as the world’s largest curated showcase of art and design.
September 13-17
Navy Pier
Onsite programs include installations, solo and two-artist presentations represented by galleries 8 years and younger, a lecture program on two stages, a curated screening program for film, video, and new media works and nonprofit booths. Offsite programming is offered as part of the city-wide public art initiative. Additional programs and projects are realized through partnerships with local museums and organizations.

Ravenswood Avenue from Irving Park Avenue to Leland
Although there are more than 50 art exhibitors, you can also enjoy 2 stages of live music, the craft beer garden, the food truck roundup, and children’s activities.
September 23-24
West Granville Avenue between Kenmore Avenue and Broadway
Just down the street from The Admiral at the Lake, Edgewater celebrates the talents of local artists with works in a variety of media, such as ceramics, photography and handmade jewelry. Talk to and learn from individual artists during this event, which also includes live music, a student art show and a puppy costume parade.

Millennium Park hosts a number of events throughout the year, but its offerings this month are exceptional. Bordered by Columbus Drive, West Monroe Street, South Michigan Avenue, and East Randolph Street, the park includes a theater, green space with art, and an LED sculpture with reflecting pool.
Chicago Jazz Festival

This year’s festival celebrates Thelonious Monk and Ella Fitzgerald and ends Sunday with the Rebirth Brass Band.
Opera in the Park
