Lincoln Park

One of the many advantages of joining our community at The Admiral at the Lake is its unbeatable proximity to Chicago’s vibrant north-side neighborhoods. With local attractions being so accessible, residents embrace any opportunity to continue exploring the city they love. If you’re looking to immerse yourself in all the culture, food and history that the neighborhood has to offer, grab some friends and map out your next adventure. Here are some hot spots to get you started:

Uptown

Green Mill Cocktail Lounge: Opened in 1907, this famous club offers live music to jazz-lovers seven days a week in a dimly lit, speakeasy atmosphere. During the 20s, it was a known watering hole for Chicago mobsters.

Aragon Ballroom: Once a boxing venue, discothèque, rolling rink and now a concert hall, this venue has hosted legendary artists and bands like The Rolling Stones, AeroSmith and Fleetwood Mac.

Riviera Theatre: Originally built as a movie theatre, this century-old rock n’ roll venue has also seen its fair share of famous groups like AC/DC, Ramones and Bob Dylan.

Wrigleyville/Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park Zoo/Garfield Park Conservatory: Chicago’s beloved zoo (with free admission) is right next to one America’s largest botanical conservatories. Both attractions offer endless hours of exploration.

Wrigley Field: Home of the Chicago Cubs, visitors love to take photos in front of the Ron Santo statue and visit Wrigleyville’s bustling Clark street lined with bars and restaurants.

Theatre on the Lake: A historic property that offers dinner and a show, visitors can enjoy an off-loop production from the local theatre community and have dinner at The Lakefront Restaurant.

Andersonville

Gethsemane Garden Center: If you have a green thumb, you’ll love this local garden center that’s open all year long. It’s sprawling greenhouse is perfect for gardening inspiration.

Awarded Restaurants: An array of culturally-inspired cuisine is at your fingertips in Andersonville. Korean, French, Southern and Contemporary restaurants have been landing in the Michelin Guide and Bib Gourmand list for years.

Puppet Bike: On the weekends, you’ll likely see a whimsically decorated mobile theatre where puppets are performing to classic songs. The puppet bike has become a staple for families having brunch or window shopping in the area.

Our senior living community is the perfect place for people who want to continue connecting and engaging with the city.
